Location: Downtown Toronto, ON — on-site 4 days/week (must reside in the GTA)

Job type: Contract, full-time — initial 6 months with strong likelihood of long-term extension

Job Opportunity: SAP Integration Architect (S/4HANA & FPSL) We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Integration Architect to lead the technical strategy and execution for our SAP S/4HANA and Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) transformation on SAP RISE PCE.

In this role, you will act as the bridge between our complex data ecosystems and the SAP environment. You will own the end-to-end integration architecture, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable data flow between our existing data platforms (e.g., Cloudera/Hadoop, Data Lakes) and SAP. You will provide technical leadership to our System Integrator (SI) partners and internal data teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Key Responsibilities Integration Blueprinting: Lead the integration design workshops with SI partners and internal stakeholders, specifically focusing on FPSL ingestion and complex ERP integration patterns.

Data Pipeline Strategy: Design and oversee robust data pipelines transitioning data from on-prem and cloud finance platforms into SAP, utilizing both batch and streaming patterns.

SAP BTP Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert for the SAP BTP Integration Suite, including SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and connectivity services.

Governance & Contracts: Define rigorous integration standards, including payload formats, schemas, scheduling, error handling, retries, idempotency, and reconciliation strategies.

Data Readiness: Manage the "data readiness" lifecycle—from source system inventory and extraction strategy to transformation, encryption, and secure landing zone management.

Security & Compliance: Ensure all integrations adhere to strict security protocols, including TLS, PGP/file encryption, key management, logging, lineage, and DLP requirements.

Operational Excellence: Define monitoring frameworks, alerting thresholds, and technical runbooks, ensuring a smooth transition to production support teams.

Required Skills & Experience Integration Architecture: Proven experience designing and implementing complex data integration solutions, including both batch and event-driven/streaming architectures.

SAP BTP Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI, API Management, Event Mesh).

Modern Data Stack: Strong background in ETL/ELT processes and working with technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Kafka.

API Fundamentals: Expertise in REST/OData services, OAuth2/JWT authentication, and secure transfer protocols (SFTP/HTTPS, mTLS).

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to drive cross-team delivery and lead architectural discussions with SI partners and business stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications Familiarity with SAP FPSL (Financial Products Subledger).

Experience managing financial data controls, including complex reconciliation, auditability requirements, data lineage, and regulatory constraints.
