OpenText Content Server (GCDocs / Livelink) Consultant — Part-Time, Hybrid (Saint-Hubert, QC) We're seeking an experienced OpenText Content Server consultant to support a federal client's document and information management environment. This is an ongoing, part-time engagement (approximately 1–2 days per week), mostly remote with a required monthly on-site presence in Saint-Hubert, QC. Some tasks (such as major version upgrades) may also call for on-site work. What you'll do
Act as the go-to reference for OpenText Core — triaging technical and operational requests, analyzing incidents, opening and following up on OpenText tickets, and documenting resolutions. Maintain the Content Server test environment: evaluate patches and releases, test updates, prepare installation/change procedures, run functional and technical tests, and keep documentation current. Build and enhance business solutions: LiveReports and WebReports (SQL, HTML), Workflow, records disposition (archiving and destruction), digitization (OTCapture), Smart UI, AI capabilities (Aviator), and cross-platform connectivity with Microsoft 365 / SharePoint / OneDrive via Extended ECM (xECM). Provide knowledge transfer — training, documentation, and presentations for both IM coordinators and IT administrators.
Must-have qualifications
5+ years of cumulative IT experience in one or more of: software development, network/system administration, or IT technician work. 5+ years architecting and/or administering OpenText Core / GCDocs / Content Server and its modules in a multiserver environment.
Strongly preferred
Hands-on experience with Content Server configuration and upgrades, LiveReports/WebReports, information retention/disposition, and IT problem-solving. Delivering technical training on Content Server administration. Experience with any of: OTCapture, Workflow, Extended ECM (xECM), Smart UI, Perspective, and Aviator.
