Senior RF Optimization Engineer

Job Title: Senior RF Optimization Engineer Location: GTA Canada Experience Required: 10+ Years

Job Description We are seeking a Senior RF Optimization Engineer (RNO Consultant) with 10+ years of Canadian or North American telecom experience to drive real radio network performance optimization and improvement through deep RF analysis across LTE and 5G (NSA & SA) networks. This role is well suited for a senior consultant or subject-matter expert who can independently evaluate /diagnose complex RF and KPI issues, perform Layer 1 / Layer 3 analysis, and deliver measurable improvements to network quality, capacity, and customer experience, including VoLTE and VoNR performance within MOCN environment.

• Lead RF optimization activities for 3G, LTE, and 5G (NSA & SA) networks, including shared RAN
• Optimize Radio Resource Management (RRM) functions:
• Identify and resolve RF performance issues:
• Optimize and troubleshoot VoLTE and VoNR call setup success rate, voice quality, and call retainability

• Monitor and improve network performance KPIs, including but not limited to :
• Perform OSS based performance analysis using counters, alarms, and trend reports
• Support pre launch, cluster acceptance, and post launch optimization
• Execute parameter audits and parameter consistency checks
• Recommend and implement data driven optimization actions with clear KPI impact

• Lead and analyze cluster drive testing if needed
• Perform Layer 1 (RF) and Layer 3 signaling analysis
• Analyze RRC, NAS, and SIP call flows using post processing tools
• Conduct root cause analysis using:
• Antenna optimization:
• Transmit power and neighbor optimization
• Interference mitigation strategies
• Performance tuning of:

• Strong hands on experience in Nokia and/or Ericsson RAN environments
• Deep understanding of:
• Experience with OSS platforms (E/// ENM / Nokia OSS MantaRay/ CSON )
• Exposure to multi vendor networks (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei considered an asset)
• Perform RF design and optimization within Nokia /E///RAN environments.

• Prepare professional RF and performance reports using Excel and PowerPoint
• Develop and maintain:
• Present findings and recommendations for network performance, operations, and leadership teams

• OSS / performance dashboards

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of RF Optimization / RNO experience
• Strong expertise in:
• Proven experience delivering KPI improvements in live Tier 1 networks
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
